About

Kris in a front of Kerid Crater, Iceland, circa May 2024

I am a planetary science Ph.D. currently working as a postdoctoral scholar at Florida Space Institute in Orlando, Florida (associated with the University of Central Florida). I am working with the planetary radar group on asteroid shape modeling using Arecibo data!

Previously, I was a PhD student at Purdue University working with Professor Ali Bramson, studying the volatile mass balance on the Moon and Mars.

My research interests can be summarized by: where is there ice and why is it there? Combining observations (e.g., subsurface sounding radar and near-IR spectra) with modeling (e.g., 1D thermal model and ballistic transport model) is my bread and butter. I am interested in exploring the presence and variability of ice throughout the Solar System!

The pronouns that I use are she/her/hers and they/them/theirs.
